Do Wearables increase physical activity levels of Children and adolescents?

Children between 5-17 years should accumulate a minumum of 60 min of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity per day But less than a fith of adoleschent students reach these levels of physical activity in 2016. Can Wearables help to increase physical activity levels?

 

A meta-analysis of n= 21 studies (3676 children & adolescents [44females]) reveals: 1) Wearables significantly improved daily steps 2) Wearables did not increase moderate-to-vigorous physical activity levels 3) More high quality studies are needed
