Digital Home based training for healthy cognitive aging

Physical Activity is important for healthy cognitive aging Yet, approx. 1/3 of adult population is not meeting recommended physical activity levels Maybe home and digital based physical activity can be a solution compared to center-based interventions? A review summarized the findings of n=15 studies

 

Overall, results are mixed, but some evidence suggests that e.g. online classess and step-based exergames can improve cognitive performance in older adults.  However: More high-quality studies are needed, also to allow more solid and nuanced conclusions.
